One of the most important parts of finding a new community is making sure it matches your lifestyle. That means a neighborhood full of things you enjoy and friends and neighbors that share those interests. What better way to meet your new neighbors than by doing something you love together? With that in mind we’ve reached out to members of the Dorn Homes family in each community to find out which amenities are most popular with our homeowners.

Pronghorn Ranch & Shadow Ridge

Tennis Courts-3It was little surprise to find out that this community’s parks and biking trails were the most popular features among the residents. This master-planned community was built with those very features in mind. Pronghorn Ranch and Shadow Ridge boast three parks, numerous walking and biking trails as well as tennis & pickleball courts.

Astoria & Pinnacle Views

You’re most likely to find residents of Astoria and Pinnacle Views spending a sunny Saturday hiking the nearby Petroglyph Trail. As part of Prescott’s Vista Trail System, Petroglyph Trail takes you to the top of the mesa and offers impressive views of the surrounding area and Prescott Lake system as well as an historic petroglyph site.

Quailwood

dorn_quailwood-10-1Residents in our Quailwood community gave the community garden a big, green thumb’s up when it was chosen as the most popular amenity in this community. The garden is a place for neighbors to enjoy some time in the fresh air, caring for homegrown produce and flowers, and sharing gardening tips.

Talking Rock

For any of you that have visited the Talking Rock Ranch community it should go without saying that they’ve selected the golf facilities as the area’s best amenities. Talking Rock features a Jay Morrish-designed, award-winning, 18-hole course as well as a nine-hole putting course and chipping area. For residents looking to improve their golf game, Talking Rock also offers state-of-the-art practice facilities and professional instruction.

Walden Farms

Here you can play with your pooch in the community dog park, take a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood, and join your friends for a game of pickleball, all while enjoying some of the most iconic views that Prescott has to offer.

Wickenburg Ranch

WR LW 0506-1Wickenburg Ranch is another community with an emphasis on golf, boasting both an 18-hole championship course (Big Wick) as well as a nine-hole par-3 course (Li’l Wick). The most popular part of the community among residents is actually only golf-adjacent: that would be The Watering Hole. This local restaurant and bar is the community’s most popular spot, where golfers and non-golfers alike gather around outside to enjoy live sports on the big screen televisions, a fresh-made Sonoran Ranch Dog, and a cold beer.

Quail Canyon

Residents of Quail Canyon in Cottonwood, Arizona highlighted local outdoor experiences as their favorite facet of living in the community. Quail Canyon offers convenient access to the Black Canyon Trail, an exceptionally scenic trail that provides panoramic vies of the Verde Valley, the red rock country above Sedona, and the San Francisco Peaks. Our homeowners in the area also enjoy a truly unique perk of Cottonwood living, kayaking down the Verde River with stops for wine tasting!

This is just a sample of some of the wonderful amenities offered throughout Dorn Homes’ communities, but hopefully they’ll shed some light on what life is like up here in northern Arizona. To learn more about any of our communities, reach out to an Online Home Advisor today.
